VS at PerCom 2025
The Distributed Systems Group attended the 23rd International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications in Washington, DC, USA, from March 17 to March 22, 2025.

On the first day of the conference, Malte Josten and Peter Zdankin organized the fourth edition of the International Workshop on Negative Results in Pervasive Computing (PerFail 2025), featuring eight peer-reviewed papers and keynotes by Prof. Gregor Schiele, Prof. Kimberly A. Cornell, and Prof. Sara Khalifa.
During the workshop, Eileen Becks presented her paper Motivation Matters: Challenges and Pitfalls of Crowdsourced Online Studies.

Malte Josten and Malte Singerhoff presented their research (and research plans) during the PhD Forum and in a poster session on the main track.
Their topics included Large Language Models as a Cyber Threat: Towards Countering LLM-based Spam Attacks and XTRTimeS — eXplainable Transformer for Robust Time Series Forecasting.
